Who we are

The Power of You

Transformational Mental Health & Wellbeing Coaching

Support, clarity, and confidence — when you need it most.

At The Power of You, we provide compassionate, practical mental health and wellbeing coaching for children, young people, adults, families, and professionals.

Our purpose is simple: to help you understand yourself better, regulate emotions, rebuild confidence, and move forward feeling more in control — even during life’s most difficult moments.

You Don’t Have to Wait to Feel Better

Across the UK, many people are waiting months — sometimes years — for mental health or neurodevelopmental support.

While clinical services are vital, waiting without support can feel overwhelming.

The Power of You exists to bridge that gap.

We work alongside existing services by offering:

  • Emotional regulation and resilience support

  • Practical coping tools for stress, anxiety, and overwhelm

  • Strengths-based coaching for ADHD, autism and neurodiversity

  • Guidance for parents, carers, and families

  • Support during periods of transition, grief, or burnout

We do not diagnose or treat conditions — we help you stay well, grounded, and supported while you wait, or simply take control of your wellbeing now.

Message From Mark

Founder of

The Power of You

I’m not a psychologist or an academic.

I’m a Dad, a coach, and a wellbeing professional who has spent over twenty years working alongside children, young people, adults, and families who needed someone to really listen.

Through my work in schools, care settings, sport, and wellbeing, I’ve seen how pressure, comparison, technology, and silence can slowly erode confidence and emotional safety — especially for children who already feel different, overwhelmed, or disconnected. As Dr Gabor Maté reminds us, “The question isn’t why the behaviour — it’s why the pain.”

I’ve lived parts of that journey myself. I know what it feels like to struggle with anxiety, low mood, and feeling out of place — and I also know that with the right support, understanding, and space, people can reconnect with their strength and move forward.

The world our children are growing up in is fast, noisy, and demanding. Too many families feel judged, blamed, or left waiting for help. I founded The Power of You because I believe people deserve support now, not just when systems catch up.

I’m not here to diagnose, label, or tell you how to live your life.

I’m here to walk alongside you — to help you make sense of what’s going on, build emotional strength, and take practical steps forward at a pace that feels right.

Because I believe in The Power of You.

And I believe people do better when they feel seen, supported, and understood.

Supported & Funded Places

Making support accessible — without judgement.

We know that many families and individuals who need support the most are least able to afford it.

That’s why The Power of You offers a limited number of supported and fully funded coaching places.

These places are made possible through:

  • Donations

  • Community sponsorship

  • Business partnerships

  • Pay-it-forward contributions

Who Supported Places Are For

Supported places are prioritised for:

  • Children eligible for Free School Meals

  • Families receiving benefits or experiencing financial hardship

  • Individuals referred through schools or community organisations

  • Young people and families waiting for NHS assessment or services

Eligibility is discussed sensitively and privately — proof may be requested, but dignity always comes first.

How the Supported Places System Works

Supported places are limited and reviewed regularly

Clients may be offered:

  • Reduced-cost support, or

  • Fully funded coaching, depending on availability

Support length and structure remain the same — there is no difference in care or quality

No one is rushed.  No one is judged.

Pay It Forward – Community Support

We also welcome individuals and organisations who wish to fund coaching for others.

This might include:

  • Businesses sponsoring places for local families

  • Sports clubs supporting young people

  • Individuals making one-off or regular donations

Every contribution goes directly towards providing access to support for those who would otherwise go without.

If you’re interested in sponsoring places or partnering with us, please get in touch.

Transparency & Boundaries

It’s important to be clear:

  • Coaching is not therapy and does not replace clinical services

  • All coaching follows clear ethical and safeguarding boundaries

  • Availability of supported places depends on funding and capacity

  • We reserve the right to review or pause supported places to protect quality of care

This ensures the work remains safe, ethical, and sustainable for everyone involved.

Contact Us

A simple conversation can be the first step.

If you’re here, it usually means something isn’t sitting right — for you, your child, or your family — and you’re looking for support that feels human, understanding, and grounded.

You don’t need to have the right words. You don’t need to be in crisis.  You don’t need to commit to anything yet.

Let’s start with a conversation.

Book a Free Discovery Call

The first step is a free, no-obligation discovery call.

This is a calm, informal conversation where we:

  • Talk about what’s been going on

  • Explore what kind of support might help

  • Answer any questions you have

  • Decide together whether coaching feels like the right fit

There is no pressure to book and no expectation to continue.

If I don’t feel I’m the right person to support you, I’ll be honest and help signpost where I can.

Who This Call Is For

  • You’re welcome to book a call if:

  • You’re a parent or carer worried about a child or young person

  • You’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or burnt out

  • Your child is struggling emotionally, socially, or with school

  • You’re waiting for assessment or support and need help now

  • You work in a school or organisation and want to discuss training or support

You don’t need a referral.  You don’t need a diagnosis.  You just need to feel that support could help.

What Happens Next

After the discovery call, you may choose to:

  • Begin 1:1 coaching

  • Take some time to think things through

  • Be signposted to other support

  • Get in touch again later

The decision is always yours.

Support works best when it feels right.

All enquiries are treated with care, confidentiality, and respect.

Safeguarding & Boundaries

The Power of You offers non-clinical wellbeing coaching.

If you or someone you care for is in immediate danger, or requires urgent mental health support, please contact emergency services, your GP, or local crisis services.

We work alongside — not instead of — clinical and statutory services.

You’re Not Wasting Anyone’s Time

Many people hesitate before reaching out, worrying they’re “not bad enough” or that they should cope on their own.

If something feels hard right now, that’s reason enough to ask for support.

You don’t have to carry it alone.

The Power of You

Walking with you, not above you.
